Other Activities

When I'm not working on my research, I can be found doing several other things, including, but not limited to the following.

• hiking: Since I moved to Colorado I've got great access to prime hiking space.
• practicing archery: I shoot barebow, practicing indoors and outdoors, and participating in an occasional field competition.
• tango: I took lessons together with an ex-housemate. I also haven't taken it up again since I moved to the US.

I enjoy listening to music. My taste covers a fairly broad spectrum: metal (primarily), ambient, classical, etc. Some, more, or less of my favourite bands are: Diary of Dreams, Tiamat, The Sisters of Mercy, Tristania, Moonspell, In Flames, Sirenia, Therion, Hooverphonic, The Gathering (in random order).
